The Mountain speaks..

About a week back, whilst on a retreat; a few of us stepped out on an excursion to a nearby hill overlooking our little retreat, in monsoon-green Igatpuri. The cloudy sky teased only with the lightest showers now and then. The idyllic surroundings were soul cleansing and pleasing to the eye.

We climbed the hill at leisure. I found myself attracted to the rocky parts of the mountain. Every now and then I picked up the stones and felt their energy.

At one point a few of us were seated on some rocks, conversing about things, when it began to drizzle, prompting everyone to make their way down. I continued sitting and felt drawn inwards. So I closed my eyes and effortlessly interiorized.  An inner voice spoke, which I found myself an audience to.

“The rocks that you see here are no different from crystals that many of you use. It is just that you value some rocks more and consider others mere stones… All mountains are filled with such crystals. The energies flooding the Earth in these precious times are being collected by natural elements of the earth such as the mountains and thus the whole terra is being recharged.

‘The pyramids that humans make are also for this purpose. Mountains infact, are the original pyramids and humans when making pyramids were only duplicating mountains.  These are all channellers of energy and great natural batteries. Thus the caves of the Himalayas attract Yogi’s as they are in essence crystal chambers that can create the highest vibrations suitable for intense sadhana.

“Not only mountains, any expanse of natural elements serves the same purpose. The Oceans, Seas, great rivers, dense forest regions. Sages of yore recognized this and that is why most ashrams for spiritual practices were made either on mountains or near a river or the sea or in the forest region.  In India the Himalayas, Vindyas, Arunachalam and other mountains are always revered.. Some of the most sacred energy spots are found on these mountains - Kailash, Badrinath, Tirupati, Vaishnodevi, Kedarnath and so on.

“Humans also use the mountain ‘technology’ in building of domes of most temples, churches and mosques, as these mountain-like domes channel in divine energies.

“Humans would serve themselves well if every now and then they would get out of the worldly systems they live in and connect with Mother Earth in any form - Climbing mountains, picnics by a river, walking barefeet on earth, connecting with flora and fauna, taking a dip in water bodies, sitting by the trees, gardening… Just connecting with Earth. In doing so they will receive from Mother Earth blessings of subtle  energies to help grow in these precious times..”

By now I was up and walking down, yet fully interiorized.  Greatly excited by what I was learning, I ventured to ask (I don’t know who) within : Why were the pyramids made in Egypt?

In reply I was promptly reminded of a story I had read some time back.

Whereas I may not be able to recount that whole story here and now, I can mention the gist of it.

Millenniums ago, the region called Sahara was a prosperous and flourishing land. This is way before the Ramayan took place.  Ravana, the demon king was known to be active in these regions back then (Amazing but not impossible).  Even in that time, He was infatuated by a certain princess, who was an amsha of Laxmi Devi and who Ravana had kidnapped and converted into a snake. (Another amsha of Laxmi Devi brought about his end.) Ravana visited this snake often and was known by locals as Naga (Snake) Priya (Lover).  That region to this day is still known by the reverse of this name – Nagapriya – Ya pri ga na  (Africana). Furthermore due to some evil acts of Ravana in pursuing the princess, the prosperous region of northern Africa was cursed into becoming a stretch of desert land. The cure of this curse was a Rahasya ( secret ) and so the place was known as its reverse : Ra ha sya – Sahara.

Why they used the reverse to name those regions, I cannot understand!

Getting back to my question – I received the above story as a background to the fact that later wise men constructed artificial mountains in that now waste area to channel energy passing through that region. It is a known fact that the regions where the pyramids are built are a crossing point for ley lines.

I know people who channel messages from higher or intra-dimensional levels.. but I am not one of them. The above-type experience has been a recent phenomenon occurring a bit frequently in the recent past. I must humbly acknowledge receiving subtle understandings now and then, at times beyond my control, from a source I am unable to identify. I am in a habit of censuring or containing such communications lest my mind take advantage and misguide me.

I do remember the energy signature of the above message. It was one of soothing peace, strength and wisdom, something my mind couldn’t have imitated. In fairness I must also add that what I had received was much more in beauty and wisdom then I have been able to put here in words.

As a form of verification, I decided to share all this with some friends, a couple in Bangalore, who are spiritually advanced and have much experience in these matters. Only today did I receive a reply from them saying that “what you are told is 100% correct. Very perceptive.” The likely source of such a message they implied would mostly be a Nature spirit, in this case perhaps the mountain Deva. They also added some words of advice that I must put to use to take better advantage should such opportunity arise in the future.

This response encouraged me to freely share this message, not so much for its humble content, but more I think to help fellow souls see and be inspired to make bigger and better efforts to partake the wisdom,  love and grace being offered to us from all aspects of life.

Much Love and Light.

A friend had captured that moment on the hill.

Connecting Fantasy and Reality – A Puranic account.

A few days back I was introduced to the concept of a Rishiworker. One such elevated being shared the story of his life in service of the Rishis, where He and his fellow workers did dreamlike things transcending various dimensions, lokas and spheres. He shared the same knowledge as do our ancient scriptures but always seemed to throw some new light on it which made one look at things refreshingly differently.

So… Here goes one such story…

Many readers will be familiar with the story of Bhasmasura, from the Vishnu Purana. In case you don’t ~

Bhasmasura was a powerful demon. In his quest to become invincible in the battle with the Demi-Gods, Bhasmasura undertook intense penance to invoke His favorite deity, Lord Shiva.

Years passed but the intensity of his effort only grew. Finally one day the demons inner gaze was filled with brilliant light and he heard a loving voice asking him to open his eyes. He did and to his delight saw the ever merciful and guileless Lord Shiva  gazing lovingly at him.

“What is it you desire? Ask and it shall be granted.”

The demon prayed “Lord! bless me that on whosoever’s head I put my right hand, that person may reduce to ashes.”

Lord Shiva sighed realizing that the demons asuric qualities had made him lose a valuable opportunity by asking for such a destructive boon, yet He kept His word and blessed him saying –“So be it!”

Bhasmasuras joys knew no bounds. In his eagerness to test the boon he looked around for some being on whom he could test his new found power. But being in wilderness he could find no one but the Lord. An evil thought invaded his mind – ‘What better way to gauge my power then to test it on the Lord himself.’

Lord Shiva realized what was brewing in the demons mind and began making an escape route. The demon pursued. Lord Shiva ran to different lokas where He could elude the demon, but the powerful demon knew his way around and kept up the pursuit.

Reaching the Brahmaloka, Lord Shiva asked for Brahmas aid. Lord Brahma replied that there was nothing He could do which would undo the powerful boon the demon had. So Lord Shiva rushed to Vaikuntha.

Lord Vishnu was aware of the predicament that Lord Shiva was in. He assumed the Mohini (Enchantress) form. Bhasmasura who had arrived even in Vaikuntha in hot pursuit stop dead on tracks looking at the bewitching form of Mohini. He was instantly mesmerized, his lower nature taking over him.

“Who are you O Divine beauty? Whoever you maybe you must accept to be my wife! I am the powerful and now invincible Bhasmasura! Accept my proposal and make me happy and you shall be the Queen of all the worlds.”

Lord Vishnu, now Mohini, knew all of the demons strengths and weaknesses. He knew the demons love and pride of the art of dancing. After playing hard to get, Mohini fained she was willing to give in but putting a condition first that only if the demon could match her in dancing skills, would she consent marrying him.

The delighted demon agreed to the challenge.

Lord Vishnu knew that since they were in Vaikuntha, if the demon died there, he would become immortal. The demon would have to be lured to a loka (plane) where the state of death comes easy. What better place then Earth! Prithvi loka.

And so Mohini began her dance of various mudras, the demon successfully followed each step. As they danced Mohini made the demon follow her crossing various dimensions towards earth. As they neared earth Mohini quickly scanned which place on earth had the right energy of strength for her to fulfill this task. Upon finding such a place she brought the demon down to that place and struck a final pose where her right hand rested on her head. Lord Shiva, the demigods and the Rishis watched on with bated breath. In his zeal to win the challenge and possess the beautiful Mohini, Bhasmasura duplicated her pose perfectly resting his right hand on his head.

No sooner had he done that, that Agni (fire) enveloped that part of his body. The boon had turned into a curse. In a fraction of a second Bhasmasura realized what he had done and in order to contain the damage he thought he would outgrow the fire that was rapidly consuming his body, and contain it. Thus Bhasmasura assumed a gigantic form, miles in height and breadth. Yet he could not outdo the power of the boon and within minutes his gigantic form was consumed in flames.

Evil a being as he was, the fire consuming him instantly released black ash from his enormous form. Tons of black ash fell from miles above hitting earth causing huge destruction and an enormous dent where the ash fell. Massive earthquakes hit the place as waters from all sides rushed in to fill in the gaps. So huge was the dent that the water collected within formed a sea. The sea was inky dark due to mixing with the black ash.

With Bhasmasura gone the powerful energies within him got released. A demigod took charge of that energy and since then came to be known as Bhasmapurusha. The whole creation heaved a sigh of relief as the Rishis and Demigods sang praises of Lord Vishnu. Lord Shiva danced the Tandava in joy and then performed the powerful Rudra yagna for purification and benefit of all Beings.  The Rishis also blessed that place of earth which made the demons end possible. They named it Sthana (Place) Bala (strength) or simply ‘The place of Strength.’

Ages passed since that day yet those places still exist. The Rishiworker shared that this place today is known as Istanbul (Sthana-bala). The inky dark sea water body is known as the Black Sea; and Bhasmapurusha the demigod is also a known figure in Greek and the local mythical history as Bhosphorus and also has a river named after Him.

Here's something more. The Rishiworker Amara shared these details only as a side story to his main mission in this area near Black sea. He and another worker who visited this place astrally went down to some caves in inaccessible regions and revealed that if one was to go down there, the mud and soil is still charred black. It is in one of these caves that they were surprised to discover the mystical artifacts of fables such as the magic lamp, the flying carpet, the staff of Ulysses, Solomon’s diamond, the flying horse etc.

It is natural to wonder about the possibility of such events. Having read all else that Sri Amara had to share plus some beliefs I had been exposed to from earlier experiences made me realize that though many are within their rights to say that they dont believe in this; yet we are in no position or have no premise to deny the possibility of such happenings. It is in view of this very thought that I wrote: The Mystical lines between Reality and Fantasy

It’s been sometime since I came across this story and since then more astounding things have come by. I read a wise man say somewhere that before we can learn the truly amazing and magical past of our rich history; we would have to unlearn a lot of beliefs that we have been ‘programmed’ with by our modern systems. Belief, it seems, is the qualification to experiencing the magical and mystical.

The Mystical lines between Reality and Fantasy

…And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend, legend became myth.”

: Galadriel - "Lord of the Rings "

Aladdin’s lamp, the magic carpet, the staff of Ulysses, Jason’s Golden fleece, Solomon’s diamond, the philosophers stone..

Did human imagination give birth to these ‘fantasies?

Or

Did the reality of these artifacts, lost in the mystical past, trigger human imagination?

As children we embrace these stories and wished we had the lamp or the flying carpet. When we grow and become ‘wise’ we reject them firmly, as if we have mastered time and space so completely that we can judge with authority what is true and what is not, even if the subject in question may have existed thousands of years before our times.

Is it wise to measure all of history based on the lives we live and understand today? Perhaps our progress in science is what influences our audaciousness. So we ask ‘where is the proof?’

But absence of proof is not proof of absence.

We live under the notion that life thus far has flown in a linear progression, and so the current times we live in are the most modern and sophisticated life mankind has ever known.

Most scriptures however, defy this notion and tell us of times in the past, where mankind has existed in greater understanding of life around him. These were referred to as the Golden ages, and humanity has known many such Golden ages each a unique and magical expression of nature, life and human ingenuity. And so from a spiritual perspective, life goes not in linear progression but in an ebb and flow mode, much like the waves. We rise and we fall. Just like the Lumerians, Atlanteans, even the glorious Vedic times in the ancient India highlighted during the Ramayana and Mahabharata periods.

I was always interested in the Mahabharata. The great heroes, their skills and weapons fascinated me. Yet my science-oriented mind wondered how it would be possible for an archer to slay his enemy 2 kilometers away with a speeding arrow? How divine weapons were wielded? If the Brahmastra (the weapon of Brahma) was more powerful then our nuclear bomb? How Arjuna could fight for the Gods?

Men in those days were known to be much larger and stronger than the forms we currently don. Uprooting trees, fighting non-stop for a length of 10-15 days (Arjuna's fight with Shiva), wielding heavy weapons etc was a routine task for heroes. From a scientific point of view it stands to reason that if the Mahabharata period existed, there should be some proof of the same left behind, isn’t it?
Not necessarily!

I have passionately followed this line of thought and received understanding by and by.

You see if I wish to go into space it will not be possible for me to go in this human form. I will have to wear a space suit to help me deal with the new environment. Similarly even on earth different periods of time have humans in different varieties in their body constitution.

A few years back I was watching a documentary about age-old weapons on BBC. The British host went to a museum and took up an 11th century sword. He found it difficult to lift even with both his hands. Yet back in the 11th century, the soldiers would hold this sword in one hand and an even heavier shield in the other as they fought their battles. The host said that back then people were much larger and stronger as compared to us. And this is only 10 centuries back. So should we be surprised if heroes 5000 years ago could perform magical feats in the battlefield?

Vedic science tells us about the 4 ages that life on earth goes through – The Golden age or Sat yuga, Silver or Treta age, Bronze of Dwapara age and Kali the dark age. The constitution of the human body and the abilities of the human mind drastically vary in each age. Today we have a flesh and bone – calcified body which when buried will not disintegrate fully into the elements, but will leave bones and teeth behind. But in times prior to this dark age where humanity lived in higher understanding and more ‘light’, their bodies were known to be more crystalline in nature. Such bodies were capable of holding more light and perform many feats which we consider miraculous today. The light bodies were complimented with a refined mind dwelling in higher consciousness giving these humans abilities much greater then our own. These bodies merged very well with the elements given the preference of vedic people to use fire to dispose human form upon death and that is why science has no bones of such bodies to conclude as proof of that age.

I have since understood that to use the laws of science as a yardstick to ascertain validity or proof of bygone mysteries is, well.. limiting. We are governed by highly intelligent Nature, which is fully capable of masking the truths of one age from the other no matter how smartly we do our investigations and excavations. Only men with pure, one-pointed and keen understanding stand a chance to be exposed to such masked truths.

Sciences of the Past :

There are men of realisation, even in this day and age, who are well aware of how things worked in the past. A Master may now and then reveal truths that most people of the world may never have access to otherwise. A great Master in southern India once explained that the sciences in the past were not mechanical, chemical or electronic in nature. They were mystical or metaphysical.

A Vimana
A flying chariot called Pushpa Vimana in the Ramayana did actually fly but not through mechanical or electronic science but through the deeper and subtle science of sound - through Mantras! Divine weapons of various potencies were wielded by heroes in the Mahabharata war through mantras. The royal class, through the grace of their learned preceptors, were known to be aware of mantras that enabled then to do superhuman tasks with ease. A blade of grass could be made a weapon through mantras, potent enough to destroy not just the earth but our whole solar system.

Naturally many will be keen to know these mantras or mystic formulas, but they cannot be effectively used by just any person. Just as a rare seed of an exotic variety of fruit cannot be expected to grow when put in barren or rocky or sandy dry ground, similarly a higher mantra cannot be put to use by anyone just knowing the formula. Only men of deep spiritual understanding and practice were able to use such formulas.

The culture of infusing our equipment with potent divine energy is still carried on today in India, when on certain days farmers and other people bring out their equipments and vehicles to be worship divinely recharged.

So coming back to Alladin’s lamp – what about it is truly magical? The lamp itself is of not much value except that by rubbing it, it brings out the Genie that can almost do anything for you.

Is that really unbelievable?

One of the most outstanding and popular books of the 20th century The Autobiography of a Yogi mentions of a certain fakir by the name of Afzal Khan who had control over a genie, an astral being by the name Hazrat, who could fulfill any wish put forward by his master. In the 80’s there was another fakir known popularly as Barielly ke Baba as he hailed from Barielly. This fakir also had control of astral entities that would do anything at his bidding. Such was the popularity of this fakir that the filmstar of the 80’s Shatrughan Sinha had incorporated the name of this fakir, who he believed in, in his movie dialogues. The fakir openly declared that he could make any doubting Thomas see the astral entities face to face provided they had the spine in them. Some who attempted to take on the challenge ran out of the room in sheer terror.

One could investigate further and find many books, even people existing today, who have the ability to put non terrestrial entities to use. So Aladdin's lamp could very well have existed wherein a knowledgeable fakir could have programmed the formula of invoking an entity to a simple rub of some lamp.

Philosophers Stone
The Philosophers stone: Frankly I find no appeal in such a fantastic object. The Philosophers stone could turn any base metal into Gold. In my opinion rather then making one rich, it would simply bring the value of gold crashing down.

If you think about it, the possibility of a Philosophers stone existing is very possible. We know when iron kept close to magnet for a certain period of time, becomes magnetic. The Philosophers stone could have a more potent property which could transform any metal to gold instantly.

Though I do not know of anything akin to such a stone; I do know of something even more fantastic to exist. In the Mahabharata, the Sun god gave Yudhishtir a vessel which would always supply them food once a day. This divine vessel was called the Akshaya Patra.

Akshaya Vibhuti box
I know for a fact certain yogis dwelling in the Himalayas near the Nar-Narayana cave who have been blessed with such an Akshaya Patra by Sri Sathya Sai Baba, which will provide for all their needs while they focus on their sadhana (spiritual practices). I have met one of those yogis too. Furthermore I know of around 3 people to whom Sri Sathya Sai have given an Akshaya patra vibhuti box from which inexhaustible supply of vibhuti comes forth no matter how many times you empty it. Most of these people are doctors who use this vibhuti for healing purpose.

The Magic carpet : If I went 10 centuries back and told people then that some day soon humans would not only fly in the air to travel from one place to another, but would even eat, sleep and be entertained while flying – I would be thrown in prison for being a lunatic. Yet we know this to be true.. why then shud be doubt the possibility of a magic carpet to exist.. just because we cannot fathom how an assumedly woolen carpet would have the mechanics to fly!

Why just artifacts..  various fabled creatures like the Unicorn, fairies, leprechauns, dwarfs, yetis, mermaids etc are known to exist on slightly higher dimensions then us. There are many humans who have encountered them but keep their silence in view of the misunderstanding world.

I am of the belief that if humanity is strong enough to let go of their binding doubts and pursue knowledge with open heart and mind, humility, faith and sincerity, then nature will willingly reveal to us secrets which we never thought could exist. Already there are many souls who have been awakened by the masters and made to realize the magical possibilities that await us in the very near future; A future where the many self-made walls of doubts and disbeliefs will collapse revealing before us new life in a truly magical Paradise.

Sounds like a fantasy.. dosent it?
:)
